When we opened our doors in 1947, Hale Makua took its name - meaning Home of Respected Elders – because of the respect of all of our local cultures for care for the elderly. Today, Hale Makua is a leader in the Hawaii medical community, and the resident expert on long-term care --- the most important healthcare issue facing the Hawaiian Islands.

We are proud to work closely with Maui's medical community, and to be the lead partner in the Maui Long Term Care Partnership. We offer long-term care, rehabilitation, home health care, adult day health and foster family care.

Hale Makua:
