Our experienced and highly-trained staff compassionately care for each resident according to his or her individual needs in an atmosphere of dignity, respect, fun, encouragement, and aloha. Hale Makua is renowned for its beautiful grounds. Each room looks out to well-maintained courtyards of lush, tropical foliage. Meandering paths and intimate patios invite residents to enjoy a stroll or just relax in these lovely settings. There are also larger areas for group activities and socialization. Centrally-located nursing stations facilitate care and ensure timely response to resident needs.

Combined, our facilities in Kahului and Wailuku have accommodations for up to 378 residents, available in private, semi-private, and larger rooms, which accommodate four beds.

Hale Makua's facilities are Medicare and Medicaid certified. We are covered by Kaiser Permanente, HMSA, and most private insurance companies including HMOs. We are happy to help you with private insurance billing and application for payment assistance.
